Bagdor Sales for the field
Salespeople check in, visit outlets on their routes, book demands at your rates and add new outlets, on Android or iPhone.
Comparison · DMS and SFA
A DMS (distributor management software) runs the distributor’s business: orders, stock, challans and GST bills, delivery and collections. A field sales app, also called SFA (sales force automation), tracks the sales team: attendance, outlet visits, location and orders booked in the shop. Most distributors with salespeople need both, joined to the same orders.
Bagdor is distributor management software from Lucknow, India, with its own field sales app, Bagdor Sales. This page explains how the two kinds of software differ.
Two kinds of software for two parts of the same business.
| Area | DMS | Field sales (SFA) app |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Runs the business: orders, stock, billing, delivery, collections | Runs the sales team: attendance, visits, orders booked at the shop |
| Main users | Owner, office, drivers and retailers | Salespeople and their managers |
| Orders | Takes orders from every source and approves them | Books orders at the shop and sends them on |
| Stock, challans and GST bills | Yes | Usually not |
| Delivery and cash collection | Yes, with a driver app | Usually not |
| Udhaar and reminders | Yes | Usually not |
| Salesperson location and attendance | Only if a field app is built in | Yes, this is its job |

When the field app and the office software are separate, an order booked at the shop has to reach the office somehow: an export, a WhatsApp message or a call. Rates and retailer lists have to be kept the same in two places, and the owner looks at two screens to see one day.
Bagdor is a DMS with its own field sales app, Bagdor Sales, for Android and iPhone. A salesperson checks in, visits the outlets on their own routes, books demands from your catalogue at your rates and adds new outlets. The demands land in the same order list in the Distributor Panel as orders from WhatsApp and the Retailer App, and are billed and delivered the same way. Under Field team, the office sees each salesperson live on the map, the day’s route with a replay, attendance, kilometres and travel allowance. Tracking runs only from check-in to check-out.
Bagdor Sales does not plan beats or daily visit lists for you, and orders need a connection to be booked. You decide which routes each salesperson covers.

SFA (sales force automation) software is an app for field salespeople and their managers: attendance, outlet visits, location, orders booked at the shop and targets.
If you have no salespeople and shops order by WhatsApp or phone, a DMS is what runs your business. If you have salespeople on routes, you need both, and it is simpler when they share the same orders, rates and retailers.
Salesman tracking app (SFA) batata hai ki salesman kahan hai, kaun si dukaan gaya aur kya order liya. DMS us order ke baad ka kaam chalata hai: stock, challan, GST bill, delivery aur payment. Bagdor mein dono saath hain.

No. Tracking runs only on duty, from check-in to check-out. Not before, not after and not on days off. Each salesperson sees the Google Play location notice and gives the permissions themselves before their first check-in.
We load a sample of your products and retailers and walk your team through it.
